SHILLONG: South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai, on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed PWD road from Lumdorbar up to Lower Lumparing, planned and initiated by him.
The Monitoring Cum Implementing Committee (MCIC) in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong of Upper and Lower Lumparing organised the programme.
The road was sanctioned under a special plan assistance PWD scheme for Rs 66,54,700, a release issued here informed.
The programme was addressed by Dominot Wankhar, Rangbah Dong, H B Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong of Upper Lumparing, F B Khongsit, President of Lumparing Sports Club, H Ryntathiang Social Secretary of MCIC 19th South Shillong and other local leaders.
The leaders and the general public lauded the initiative and sustained efforts of Sanbor Shullai for bringing various developmental schemes which has fulfilled the aspirations of the people.
The function concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by D. Syiemlieh, Rangbah Dong of Lower Lumparing.
