MFA hosts Instructors course
Shillong: The Meghalaya Football Association hosted an All India Football Federation North East Grassroots Instructors Course at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex in Polo Ground, Shillong.The course began on June 27 and concluded on July 2.


Corporate Futsal Competition
SHILLONG: The Inter-Office-cum-Corporate Futsal Competitionorganised by Futsal Association of Meghalaya (FAM) commenced on July 4 at Indoor Sports Stadium, Laban with 16 teams participating in the competition.


Reds continue unbeaten run
SHILLONG: The unbeaten run for the Lajong youngsters continue after they dominated the Under 18 Shillong Premier League match on Thursday played against Nongkrem SC. Lajong scored 5 goals without conceding any to secure the victory. Dajied Wanshnong opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Saveme Tariang doubled the lead in the 28th minute. Amon Lepcha scored a brace in the 35th and 80th minute. While Sangti Janai Shianglong also added his name to the score sheet in the 67th minute. Lajong have two more games to play in the League stage and their next match will be held on July 8 against Mawkhar SC.


Powergrid Chess Tourney
SHILLONG: Powergrid Inter-Regionl Chess Tournament at Shillong has been inaugurated by Sh B. Anantha Sarma, ED, North Eastern Transmission System this morning at Hotel Pinewood. Total 11 teams from all the region and Corporate Centre are participating in the said tournament hosted by North Eastern Region.
