Mawhati girl clinches Ri Bhoi Idol

NONGPOH: Lawana Diengdoh, singing sensation from Mawhati village has emerged as the winner of Ri Bhoi Idol, the singing platform organised by the Ri Bhoi Entertainment Society.
The grand finale of the singing competition concluded on Saturday evening at the NSCA Mini Stadium.
The singing platform brought by the Ri Bhoi Entertainment Society is one of the famous platforms of the district, to give the aspiring singers an opportunity to showcase their talent. Chairman Rijied Khymdeit and Stanwell Manih took the initiative to promote the singers of the district.
The grand finale witnessed tough competition between 16 young singers who entered the finale after a month of tough battling.
The competition was enthralled by the participation of famous artists and also encouraged by Dr. D.D Lapang Chief Adviser to the government who attended the final show.
The winner Lawana received Rs. 30,000 along with a certificate, followed by Jessica Kharkrang who bagged the 2nd Prize and received Rs 20,000 and Morialda Lyngdoh who won the 3rd prize and received Rs 15,000.
