Akshay Kumar donates Rs 2 cr to flood-hit Assam

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal appreciated bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s generous act of contributing Rs one crore each to Chief Minister Relief Fund and for the benefit of animals of Kaziranga National Park today. Chief Minister Sonowal said that the philanthropist actor’s contribution at this time of crisis would inspire the affected people.

Akshay Kumar in a tweet on Wednesday expressed his anguish over the devastation caused by floods in Assam. Stating that all affected, humans or animals deserve support in this hour of crisis he announced his donation with an appeal to all to contribute.
