Heroin seized
On July 15, around 7 pm, acting on a tip-off, police arrested one Keishang Angphom Maring from Laitumkhrah market, Shillong and recovered two soap cases filled with 17.30 grams of suspected heroin from his possession.
Vehicles stolen
On July 14, around 10 pm, miscreants stole a dumper truck (ML 04C 0268) belonging to Marjan Phawa from Jowai West Jaintia Hills.
On July 13, miscreants stole a motorcycle (ML 08C 8746) belonging to Arhistom M Sangma from his residence at Bangsidua village, West Garo Hills.
Burglary
Gayatri Devi Sharma lodged a complaint that between March 5 and July 13, miscreants broke into her house and stole unspecified amount of cash and six suitcases containing gold and silver jewelry worth Rs. 5 to 6 lakh.
