Meghalaya Got Talent audition on Aug 4-6

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Talent Search Organization will start auditions for Meghalaya’s Got Talent (MGT) Season 4 from August 6 next during which the organization will visit different places in Khasi and Jaintia Hills for conducting auditions.

Addressing the Press here on Friday, president of the organization, M.S. Pyngrope said the MGT was initiated in 2015 and it has been a platform for the youth to showcase their talents. The grand finale will be held on December 14, 2019. The registration fee will be Rs 100 and Rs 200 for solo and duet/group respectively.

On the other hand, advisor of the organization, Sanat Basaiawmoit expressed concern that often talented youth from the state were exploited by organizations, TV channels.

“There are certain organizations who invite the youth to participate in their programmes but unfortunately, they do not pay them,” he said.

He said the organization not only creates an avenue for the talented youth but young people are taught on how to survive in the entertainment world which is ridden with exploitation.
