35th Installation ceremony
SHILLONG: New president of Inner Wheel Club of Shillong, Mukta Singla has set upon a priority to reduce the dependency on plastics which is seen as a source of pollution.
She was speaking at the Inner Wheel Club of Shillong, IWD – 324, charter number-2977 on the 35th installation ceremony (2019-2020) at Hotel Pegasus Crown on Monday.
She has also set upon the task of adopting a village to ensure basic facilities are made available to schools. A new generation club with members from the age group of 18 to 35 years will be its members.
Chief Guest of the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Rebecca Suchiang urged the members to break out of their comfort zones and get involved in social work.
She observed that more members should be recruited to increase their membership.
