Football tourney held

SHILLONG: Mt Zion Seconadary School Sohryngkham, held football matches in phases starting from June 15 at Madan Mawdngong, Sohryngkham. Local MLA David Nongrum inaugurated the football tournament. The matches were played every Saturday and it concluded on June 22. From 16 teams, Taxi Driver Association, Sohryngkham and Pommura SC reached the final where the Taxi Driver Association won by scoring two goals while Pommura SC failed to score any goal. The winner took away Rs 20,000 while Pommura SC received Rs 10,000.
