SHILLONG: The office of the District Sports Officer, East Khasi Hills, a Grassroot Centre of Mission Football at Sohrynkham village under Mawryngkneng Block was opened on Friday. Local MDC, Pyniaid Sing Syiem inaugurated the centre in the presence of the sports officials, Sordars and members of the different clubs of the village and nearby villages. Around 80 boys and girls were registered and the training will start from August 1. As part of the inaugural function, a friendly match was also played after the programme.
