JHADC summer session postponed

JOWAI: The summer session of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District which was scheduled till Wednesday was postponed due to the sudden demise of State Assembly Speaker, Dr. Donkupar Roy.
The council was supposed to discuss a bill tabled in the house before passing on Wednesday however it was postponed till Thursday. Discussion and consideration for passing the bill known as the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District (Election to the Office of Dolloi), Rules 2019 will be held on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the house also observed one minute silence as a mark of respect to Dr Donkupar Roy.
