NCP condoles Donkupar’s death

Shillong: NCP MLA Saleng A. Sangma, working president Vijay Raj and members of NCP Meghalaya unit express sorrow over the untimely death of Meghalaya Assembly Speaker Late Donkupar Roy.
The party sends its condolences to the family members and also pray that God Almighty will guide them in this darkest hour.
In a press statement, the party recalls the contribution made by him to the state and to the people of Shella Constituency in particular. With his demise, the state lost an illustrious scholar and leader, who was full of ideas and vision, a vacuum has been created due to his untimely death which can never be replaced, it added.
Meanwhile, the All India Garo Union (AIGU) condole the death of Donkupar Roy and said it is a great loss to the indigenous tribes and the common man at large. He was known and remembered for being straight-forward. It also extended solidarity to the loved ones of the late leader.
