World breastfeeding week begins

Imphal: Development Organisation of Andro Kendra (DOAK) organised the the ‘Observation of World Breast Feeding Week-2019’ at Thambalnu Market Complex, Poiroupat Lamkhai Imphal East on Sunday. The event was organised under the theme: Empower Parents, Enable Breastfeeding. The chief guest, Forest and Environment Minister, Thounaojam Shyamkumar said in order to bring a better generation, a healthy environment and world, society needs good motherhood. “We all love our mother and the first gift of a mother to her child is mother’s milk. Breastfeeding affirms the bonding of love between mother and her child. It is the best natural food for babies. (UNI)
