SHILLONG: A dispute was witnessed in Golflinks when the office of Hima Mylliem attempted to divide it.
Golflinks has five localities–Mawpun, Lumsohkymphor, Polo Hills, Pdeng Shnong and Khlieh Shnong. The aim of the adhoc committee Golflinks, Pynthorumkhrah to divide the localities was squashed on Saturday when the residents of Golflinks opposed the holding of Dorbar Shnong convened by the Hima Mtlliem at the community hall of Golflinks.
There were allegations that adhoc committee headed by Kanwan Suchen and Mankupar Lyngdoh decided to split Mawpun, Polo Hills and Lumsohkymphor following which a dispute arose between the people for the Dorbar Shnong and against the Dorbar Shnong.
The office of the Syiem of Hima Mylliem stopped the meeting on account of the scuffle.
