SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Swimming Association conducted the State Swimming Trials at the Crinoline Swimming Pool on Saturday for the 73rd National Aquatic Championship to be held at Indore, Bhopal on August 30-31. The winners and runners up, men and women, of the last Senior State Championship and the Junior State Championship were put to the test in the 50 metres Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly stroke besides the 800 metres Freestyle. Participants from Shella, True North Swimming Club, Assam Regimental Centre and others took part in the  trials. Altogether a total of 25 top Swimmers of the State took part in the Trials which were based on the qualifying timing prescribed by the Swimming Federation of India for the different strokes.
