AIDS control society to observe International Youth Day

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya AIDS Control Society will be observing the State Level International Youth Day 2019 starting off with a debate competition at U Soso Tham auditorium on Tuesday from 9 am onwards. The official programme will begin at 2 pm, a release issued here informed. The International Youth Day 2019 will examine how governments, young people and youth-led and youth-focused organisations, as well as other stakeholders, are transforming education and how these efforts are contributing to the achievement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the release stated.
Meanwhile, the National AIDS Control Organisation has targeted youths, especially in the age group of 15 to 29 years, to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS.
