Sushil seals World C’ships spot

New Delhi: Sushil Kumar on Tuesday sealed his spot in the Indian contingent that will go to Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan for the wrestling World Champioships that starts on September 14.In the trials that were held at New Delhi’s KD Jadhav Stadium, Sushil beat Jitender 4-2 to ensure that he represents India at the World’s in the 74kg category. In what turned out to be a rather rough final, Sushil raced to a 4-0 lead in the first period of the bout. Jitender was hit in the eye leading to a break in which he received medical attention.
