Theft in Happy Valley
Khemray Pun lodged a complaint that on August 20 around 1:55 am, unknown miscreants broke into Plaza Counter, Happy Valley, and stole cash Rs. 10,000-25,000 approximately, one scooty (ML-05T-3178), one CCTV camera and household items valued around Rs. 20,000.
HIV testing kit stolen
Khlainbor Kharbangar lodged a complaint that on August 19 at about 9.30 am, he noticed that unknown miscreants broke into VHAM office at Nongmensong, and stole computer set and HIV testing kits valued around Rs. 40,000.
Water pipeline damaged
Susan Khongwir, Water Supply Inspector, Shillong Municipal Board and B.S Mawlong, Secretary, Social Welfare, Mawlai Nongmali-III, jointly lodged a complaint that on Aug. 18 night, unknown miscreants stole the keys of the water pipes and also damaged the water pipeline in Mawlai Nongmali area.
Construction materials missing
Shibun Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on August 16 around 12.30 am, miscreants stole water pumps, alternators and other construction materials valued around Rs. 1,08,700 from Kongong village in East Jaintia Hills.
Burglary
Dujasing R Marak lodged a complaint that on August 17 around 1.30 am, unidentified armed masked miscreants broke into his house at Bashiragre Mibonpara, South Garo Hills, and attempted to commit dacoity, but failed to do so. However, while retreating, they took two mobile phones from the house.
Fraud
Kristover M Momin of Wa’tre Gittim Village, North Garo Hills, lodged a complaint that on Aug. 11, he found that Rs. 34,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from his account through an ATM at Delhi.
