44 matches played on fifth day of Meghalaya Baby League

SHILLONG: The fifth matchday of the Meghalaya Baby League 2019 was another exciting day, with 44 matches in all taking place across Shillong, Smit and Mawngap. 
In Shillong, JNS Jaguars won two matches against Mawlai Raptors, who won one, while the other game was a draw. It was a similar case between Onsides Gibbons and Touchline NE Cubs. The Gibbons won two games and the Cubs one. The other was a draw. 
There were no draws between Shillong Lajong Cayotes and Unified Gorkha Gators, with each team winning two matches each. Langsning Greenergy Lions and Kickstart FCC Rhinos started out with a 2-2 draw in the U-7 match, but the Greenergy Lions won all of the other three categories. 
The last matches of the day were played between Titan Otters, who won three games, and Mawkhar Roosters, who were winners in the U-12 contest. 
In Smit, Laitkor Flamingos and Wahlakhiat Bulls drew the U-7 match 3-3, but the Bulls then won two games and the Flamingos won game. Smit Grassroots Zebras were then victorious in three matches against Mawryngkneng Goldfinches, while the U-11 fixture ended 3-3. Later the Deni Linda Pumas started by winning the U-7 match, but their opponents – Mawlatbah Hawks – claimed all three of the other games. 
Finally, in Mawngap, Lawmei Leopards and Upper Shillong Colts won two games each; Little Kickers Ferrets won all four games against Marbisu Phoenix; and Rangdajied United Eagles won three against Nongtrai Cheetahs, with the U-9 match a draw. The first Meghalaya Baby League is a pilot project of the All India Football Federation.
