Cattle snatched
Monush Sangma of Ryngjku, West Khasi Hills along with 3 others lodged a complaint that on August 24, around 4.30 pm, BSF personnel of BOP Ryngku went to their residence at the village and took away thirty-five heads of cattle (cows and ox).

Threatened
Kolin Rani, Assistant Secretary, VDP Mawlyntriang village, West Khasi Hills, on August 20, lodged a complaint that one Lastra Mawblei of the same village, who sold illicit liquor was forewarned to stop her illegal activity. However, she challenged the village authority and VDP and also threatened them with dire consequences.

Jonathan Mawthoh lodged a complaint that on August 22, a caller identified himself as Branch Manager, SBI, Laitumkhrah Branch and informed him that his ATM card has been deactivated and sent an OTP for reactivation. Later, the complainant found that Rs. 74,999 had been debited from his account.
Bhanusib Ryngnga and others lodged a complaint that on August 21, around 1.30 pm, one Desmond Kharkongor, dishonestly cheated them of Rs. 27,000. Till date, the accused has failed to contact them.
