SHILLONG: East Jaintia Hills police on Monday recovered 12.85 grams of heroin from a woman who was arrested on Saturday
The lady who is suspected to be the main supplier of drugs by police in Jaintia Hills, was arrested from Nartiang village in West Jaintia Hills on Saturday evening.
Police sources said that based on the interrogation of the lady, 12.85 grams of heroin was recovered near house after she had led the police to the spot.
Last week, the joint team of ANTF East Jaintia Hills, Ladrymbai Outpost & VDP members recovered 10.64 gms heroin from Pamra Mukoi Lara in the district on Friday and immediately arrested three persons. The fourth arrest was also made by the police in an undisclosed area in West Jaintia Hills
