Weather warning
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning whereby heavy tovery heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya from September 10 to 12.
Lok Adalat
The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, Shillong under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi will organise the National Lok Adalat on all subject matter on Saturday in the High Court of Meghalaya, District Courts, District Council Courts, Sub-Divisional Courts, Deputy Commissioner’s Office etc.
Khasi lecture
For the benefit of all non-Khasi students of the Khasi Learning Centre, the Management has informed that arrangement has been made for a special lecture on “The Social Customs and Practices of the Khasis”, to be delivered by Prof. A.K.Nongkynrih of the Department of Sociology, NEHU at Shillong Law College at 5 pm on Saturday.

Procession
Barapathar Muharram Akhara Committee, Mawbah, Shillong will take out Muharram procession on Tuesday at 2 pm starting from Barapathar via Mahavira Park, Dhobighat via Rilbong Point via District Council via Mawprem Eidgah via Upper Mawprem to Barapathar back to Muslim graveyard.
