Police recover Rs 35 lakh in EJH

SHILLONG: East Jaintia Hills police on Friday recovered Rs 35 lakh from a person during a routine checking of night super buses.
Sources informed that one Ganesh Deb Nath was travelling from Agartla to Guwahati and the person carrying the cash was detected during a checking in Khliehriat.
Police detained and interrogated him after which the case was handed over to the Income Tax department “It seems to be case of unaccounted cash,” a source said while adding that the notes were fresh and well packed but more details of it will be known only after detailed investigation
