Local holiday
The Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, General Administration (A) Department has informed that all state government offices and all Revenue and Magisterial Courts and educational institutions in the East Khasi Hills District shall remain closed as local holiday on Wednesday on account of Unitarian Anniversary Day. The DC, East Jaintia Hills District has also informed the same.

The District Magistrate, Ri Bhoi, Nongpoh has informed that Phaisar Shilla of Chilliangraij, Jowai, West Jaintia Hills district-793150, Explosive Magazine for use at stone quarry at Umnawe, Killing village, Raid Marwet in the land of Miti Nongrum, Killing, Ri Bhoi. In case of any objection, the objector may write with reason thereof (with full name & address) to the office of the undersigned within 30 days of issue of this notice
Meeting
The EC and the members of Gorkha Secondary School (erstwhile Gorkha High School) Alumni Association in its meeting held on September 15 observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to late Harish Kumar Pradhan and late Sabina Baruah. The 4th general body meeting will be held at the auditorium of the school on September 22 at 10:30 am.
