SHILLONG: The Anti-Corruption and Human Development Organisation (ACHDO) has urged the Controller of Examination, MBoSE, Tura, to set up an examination centre for SSLC and HSSLC at Jana Priya Higher Secondary School, Bholarbhita (JPHSS), West Garo Hills for the benefit of Jana Priya HS and students of adjoining school.
“The students are facing problems due to lack of an examination centre nearby. Some students are naturally unable to travel long distance, thus, they face difficulties in focusing in their examinations. Many cannot even afford to travel such distances frequently,” the organisation stated.
The organisation further informed that the road from Chibinang to Phulbari remains dilapidated most of the times and travelling for students becomes troublesome.
Jana Priya Higher Secondary School, Bholarbhita, is one of the oldest school in the entire plain-belt. However, no examination centre has been established till date.
The organisation has asked the board to take cognizance in the matter and take necessary immediate action.
