NEHU Inter College Basketball C’ship matches conclude

SHILLONG: On day 3 of the NEHU Inter College Basketball (Men & Women) Championship 2019 at NEHU Permanent Campus, Shillong, on Friday, the women’s teams from St Anthony’s College, Seng Khasi College, Lady Keane College and Shillong College registered their wins against their respective opponents. St Anthony’s College defeated St. Edmund’s College (28-05); Seng Khasi College defeated St. Mary’s College (25-23): Lady Keane College defeated Synod College (43-16); and Shillong College defeated PG NEHU, Shillong (41-25). In the men’s category, Union Christian College defeated B.B.S College (58-12); St. Dominic College defeated Shillong Commerce College (45-39); Shillong College defeated NE Adventist College (52-20); and KL Bajoria defeated Shillong Law College (74-27). On Saturday, matches have been slated for the semifinals of Women’s category and the quarterfinals of the Men’s category. In the Women’s category, St. Anthony’s College will play against Seng Khasi College in Court 2 while Lady Keane College will lock horns with Shillong College in Court 1 of the venue. In the Men’s quarterfinal matches, St Anthony’s College will be facing Synod College, U.C.C will face St Dominic College, St. Edmund’s College will play against P.G.NEHU and Shillong College will fight for the semifinal seat against K.L. Bajoria College.
