SHILLONG: The state BJP formed its Greater Lumparing unit comprising more than 1000 members on Sunday.
The Monitoring cum Implementation Committee of South Shillong constituency in collaboration with the newly-formed unit also celebrated the 53rd birthday of MLA Sanbor Shullai at Lumdorbar in Upper Lumparing on the day.
Shullai expressed his gratitude to the members of the various committees and general public and also distributed household articles among more than 1000 BJP members. Others who attended the programme were B. Wahlang, treasurer of the BJP Greater Lumparing Unit, Hubert Marbaniang, president of South Shillong Mandal, A. Marwein, secretary, MCIC South Shillong, V Marbaniang, president, Greater Lumparing Unit and Darry Marbaniang, general secretary, among others.
