SHILLONG: The Acting secretary of Nohwet village, Hirasing Khongsdam, informed that the Dorbar Pyllun of Nohwet, East Khasi Hills, has removed Bose Swell Khongthohrem as headman on August 31, 2019. Speaking to the press on Monday, Khongsdam said that Khongthohrem claimed to be the headman when he is no longer one.
Khongsdam said as per convention followed in the village, women are not allowed in the Dorbar Shnong.
