Minor girl rescued
East Jaintia Hills police on Thursday rescued a minor girl who was allegedly kidnapped. Police said that the girl was missing for three days and the police on Thursday zeroed on the boy and raided a house at Sakhain village in the district. The boy has been arrested and a case of kidnapping registered against him.

Phibalahun Mynsong lodged a complaint that in the month of July and August, Elizer Pyngrope hired her Tata Tipper vehicle (AS/1/TMP/2019/4924) and failed to return the vehicle, in spite of several request.
Counterfeit sale
Nayantara Demy lodged a complaint that on September 25, during her survey, she found that one shop belonging to Pankaj Deb at Mawlonghat taxi stand, Iewduh, Shillong was selling counterfeit cosmetic products using the brand name Lakme, thus tarnishing the image of the Lakme Brand and the Hindustan Uniliver Limited and also cheated the company and the government of its revenue.
Burglary
On September 25 afternoon, miscreants broke into the house of Sweety Jana at Nongrah, Nonglum, Block-B, Shillong and stole one laptop, two mobile phones, Tablet and ATM card.
Bina Sunar lodged a complaint that on September 24, around 11.15 pm, she learnt that miscreants broke into her residence at Lumshyiap, Nongmensong, Shillong and stole gold and silver ornaments valued around Rs 2,25,000 and Rs. 4,000.
Threatened
Jobilin Lyngkhoi lodged a complaint that on September 22, around 8.30 pm, her estranged husband Aldrin Warjri armed with a dagger, threatened her with dire consequences in her residence at Mairangbah village, West Khasi Hills.
Scooty missing
On the night of September 21, miscreants stole one scooty (ML-13-4187) belonging to Sillorina Ch Marak from her residence at Dandakol village, North Garo Hills.
Batteries stolen
On September 21, miscreants stole twenty-four battery cells valued around Rs. 2,40,000 from the Google tower site at Mustem village, West Jaintia Hills.
