SHILLONG: The Monitoring-cum-Implementation Committee like before organised the Pre-Durga Puja and Kali Puja Get-together of Harmony 2019, on Saturday at Deva Kumar Memorial Hall at Bishnupur, here
Members of 31 puja committees under South Shillong constituency attended the function.
The function started with a prayer service, which was conducted by president of the committee, Sanbor Shullai, MLA and followed by cutting and distribution of puja cake (prasad).
The function was also addressed by J L Das, general secretary, Central Puja Committee, Shillong, Naba Bhattacharjee, president Central Puja Committee, Anthony Marwein, secretary MCIC South Shillong, Hubert Marbaniang, president BJP South Shillong Mandal and others.
The function ended after free distribution of puja materials, banners, sweets and food packets to all the 31 committees. The vote of thanks was delivered by Rajiv Deb, organising secretary MCIC.
