NEEPCO Hindi workshop

SHILLONG: A one-day workshop on Hindi was organised by the Corporate Headquarter of NEEPCO in the city on Monday.
In his address to the gathering, chief general manager (HR) of the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited PS Barthakur encouraged the participants to use Hindi – the official language – in day-to-day official work.
He also urged all the trainees to learn as much as possible during the workshop and to try and use the language in official work.
Apart from Barthakur, others present during the session included SL Dowerah, general manager (HR), Basant Kumar Tigga, deputy general manager (HR), Rajbhasha and Amit Kumar Jha, assistant director (OL), NER HQ, GSI, Shillong. Arun Kumar Pradhan, deputy manager (Hindi) delivered the welcome address.
Meanwhile, Amit Kumar Jha apprised the trainees about the official language policy of the Government of India.
