Dry days
The Deputy Commissioners of Ri Bhoi, East Jaintia Hills, South West Khasi Hills have declared dry day on Wednesday on account of Gandhi Jayanti. Dry days will be imposed in Ri Bhoi and East Jaintia Hills on October 8 and October 7 and 8 respectively on account of Dussehra.
Tribute
Tagore admirers of Shillong will pay tribute to Tagore at Brookside, Rilbong in Shillong on October 11 at 10 am to mark the centenary of Tagore’s first sojourn to Shillong.
Marathon
A Half Mara-thon will be flagged off on Wednesday from 119 INF BN (TA) Assam, Kench’s Trace at 5 am. Prize distribution at 7 am.
