College pays tribute to Gandhi

SHILLONG: Nongtalang College NSS Unit celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Wednesday. As many as 105 NSS volunteers, students and faculty members participated in the programme. The programme was chaired by S.B Lapasam, Programme Officer, Nongtalang College NSS Unit.
Others who were present included J.S Nongrum, Head, Department of History, Nongtalang College and A. Lamin Asst. Professor, Department of Political Science, Nongtalang College.
Winners of the extempore speech competition organised during the occasion included Rijiedmi Lamin (1st), Shanker Kongwang (2nd) and Ibanrisha Sutnga (3rd).
