Traffic curbs for Puja

SHILLONG: Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has demarcated some areas as ‘no entry’ zones for vehicular traffic in view of the Durga Puja celebration in the city to avoid inconvenience to the general public, an official statement issued here on Friday informed.
The order will remain in force from October 5 to 8.
The ‘no entry’ routés are:

Sadar
# Jail Road Petrol Pump towards Jail Market.
# Forest Colony towards C.R.P.F. Camp.
# Gandhi Bunyadi Higher Secondary School towards Pynthorrit.
# Oakland Junction towards Oakland Puja Pandal.
# Bamboo Hut towards Keating Road.
Laban
# Lawsohtun/CID quarter towards Bishnupur Market.
# Oxford Junction towards Rilbong Beat House.
# Shillong Times Office to Rilbong Beat House.
# Last Stop towards Oxford Junction.
# Harrison Bridge towards Shillong Times Office, Rilbong.
# Batti Bazaar Road towards Hari Sabha Puja Pandal.
# MGCC Road towards Oxford junction.
Lumdiengjri Area
# From District council point towards M.E.S. side for heavy vehicles (depending on traffic situation).
# Trenching Ground road towards Round Building Jhalupara.
# Kyrbom towards Mawbah.
Rynjah
# From Main Road I to Main Road II.
# Lumshngain to Rynjah Dispensary.
# Lumsohphoh to Nongmensong Bazaar.
