BSF man files FIR
Ravi Shankar of 11 Bn., BSF, Mawpat, lodged a complaint that between September 22 to 26, he made an agreement with two persons, viz. Vijay Kumar Yadav and Surender Kumar, both of Rajasthan, to purchase their Mahindra Bolero (UP-60V-2198) and also paid Rs. 71,000 as advance payment. Later, the complainant also deposited Rs. 2,21,009 in the Paytm account of Surender Kumar.
False transaction
Nahid Anjum lodged a complaint that on July 24, she learnt that Rs. 15,000 was fraudulently debited from her SBI account, without her knowledge.
Fraud
Noor Ullah lodged a complaint that his employee viz. Rajendra Kumar Sharma (M/s Batlee Car World, Keating Road) was found to have cheated him. The complainant learnt that the accused had cheated several customers by taking advance payments from them and also took credit from several distributors in the name of the complainant and did not pay them their dues.
Drug bust
On October 10 around 2:30 pm, police, acting on inputs, apprehended four persons at Umkdait, Nongmensong. During search, police recovered/seized 4.03 grams of suspected heroin from the possession of Aman Lyngdoh Mawnai (20) and 0.73 grams of suspected heroin from the possession of Manoj Biswa (28). However, nothing was recovered from the possession of the other two persons.
On October 9 around 2:30 pm, on receiving information that local residents of Mawlai Mawroh have apprehended some suspected drugs dealers/buyers, police rushed to the place and apprehended five persons. During search, police recovered/seized Rs. 18,750 in cash and 0.94 grams of suspected heroin from the possession of one Khrawbok Pomthet. However, nothing was recovered from the possession of the other four persons.
Theft bid
Changning R Marak of Meghalaya Rural Bank, Ampati Branch, SWGH, lodged a complaint that on October 9 around 7 pm, unknown miscreant(s) broke into the bank and attempted breaking the locker.
Motorcycle stolen
On October 8 around 2:30 am, unknown miscreant(s) stole a motorcycle (ML-05G-6381) belonging to Aldinus Shabong from Mawlum Umsiar village, WKH.
K Passah, District Sports Officer, East Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on October 7 around 10.30 pm, unknown miscreant(s) broke into his office and stole, 1 CPU, 2 UPS, 3 keyboards, 4 laptops, 5 xerox machine tonners, 6 CFL bulbs, 7 pen drives, etc. valued around Rs. 1,62,600.
Unknown miscreant(s) stole a motorcycle (ML-08F-6866) belonging to Cuba Ch Marak, which was parked near Civil Hospital, Tura, WGH.
Assault
Purnima Hajong lodged a complaint that on October 8 around 10:30 pm, one Bikash Hajong along with his accomplices went to the complainant’s residence at Kharugaon village, Betasing, SWGH, dragged his brother Rubijyoti Hajong out from the house and assaulted him. The miscreants also threatened the family members of the complainant.
Everson M Sangma lodged a complaint that on October 3, one Brismail Marak attacked him with a sling at Barengapara, WGH, causing injuries to him.
