Infant’s body recovered from forest in Madanrting

Shillong: The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills has informed that on August 6, the highly decomposed body of an infant was found in a wooded area in Madanriting.
Accordingly, inquest and legal formalities were observed and the body was sent to SDM&HO Civil Hospital, Shillong for post mortem examination.
The body is currently in the Civil Hospital morgue.
The SP has also requested all concerned individuals who can identify the body to contact the officer in-charge of Madanriting PS at 2231408 or the police control room at 2222214 and 2222215.
Unclaimed bodies
The body of an unknown male was recovered from Umshyrpi river on July 21.
The deceased has an approximate height of 5 feet two inches and appears to be in his early to mid-forties.
The body was sent for post mortem examination and is being kept at the Civil Hospital morgue for identification and claiming.
Individuals with any knowledge of the deceased are requested to contact the officer in-charge of Lumdiengjri PS at 2548151 or the police control room.
Meanwhile, the body of an unknown male was discovered at a football field in Urkaliar, Nongmynsong on October 12 around 12:10am.
The body was sent for post mortem examination and is being kept at the Civil Hospital morgue.
The deceased appears to be in his early to mid-forties.
Individuals with any knowledge of the deceased are requested to contact the officer in-charge of Rynjah PS at 2230402, Nongmensong OP at 2230224 or the police control room.
