Condolence for Archbishop Jala

SHILLONG: The Purbottar Pradeshiya Marwari Sammelan conveyed its condolence on the sudden demise of Archbishop Dominic Jala, of Shillong Diocese.
“He was a true friend of the poor, needy and downtrodden. He devoted his life in serving the society. His passing away is a great loss to the church, the state and also to the entire North East, said provincial president Madhusudan Sikaria in a press release issued recently.
“We convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved relatives and to the Shillong Archdiocese. We pray to the Almighty to grant them strength to bear this loss. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” it added.
