SHILLONG: Members of the North Eastern Hill University Non-Teaching Staff Association (NEHUNSA) on Tuesday, took out a protest march against the step-motherly treatment towards the Central Autonomous Bodies regarding non-extension of bonus to the employees for the last four years.
In solidarity with the Indian Public Service Employees Federation (IPSEF), New Delhi, an umbrella of the autonomous bodies, the staff led by the NEHUNSA President, W.R. Synrem marched to the Administrative Block from the central library and submitted a memorandum to the vice chancellor (VC) on the matter.
The VC has agreed in principle to take up the matter with the concerned ministry in New Delhi.
It may be mentioned that the IPSEF is taking a march to parliament to submit a memorandum to the prime minister and finance minister on the matter.
