SHILLONG: The High Court of Meghalaya has issued a notice to the Director of School Education and Literacy after one teacher Babul Islam from Bhaitbari Higher Secondary School approached the court over a matter concerning his appointment.
Islam who was working as Laboratory Assistant in Bhaitbari Higher Secondary School since 2001 was appointed as the assistant teacher of the school as per the order in 2002. But his appointment has not been approved by the Director and therefore approached the High Court of Meghalaya. Islam in a statement said that the High Court issued a showcause notice to the Director as to why necessary order should not be passed in this matter.
