Celebration
The closing ceremony of the Golden Jubilee celebration of Cherra Bosconian Union (CBU), an organisation of the Don Bosco Past Pupils of St. John Bosco Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Sohra will be held on November 6. It will start with a Holy Mass at 10 am and a cultural programme at 1pm in the school compound. Sohra MLA Cavin M. Mylliemngap will be the chief guest.
Convention
The Fair Price Shop Dealers Association in its general meeting have resolved to call a state level convention of Fair price shops in Shillong in January next year. It also formed state level association known as Meghalaya Fair Price Dealers Federation with Anwar Khan as the president, Richard Khongwir as the general secretary and other members.
Condolence
Meghalaya Joint Council of Trade Unions & Associations deeply mourns the death of Gurudas Dasgupta, who breathed his last on Thursday in Kolkata. He was one of the towering personality of Indian trade union movement, former general secretary of AITUC and an uncompromising parliamentarian who could bring the government to submission.
