SHILLONG: The 28th State Karate Championship 2019 organized by the All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association, Shillong at Indoor Sports Hall, JN Sports Complex, Polo Ground, Shillong concluded on November 2. Banri Phira F. Lyngdoh, Senior Karateka attended as Chief Guest during the Closing Ceremony. Altogether 421 participants participated from different Clubs and Dojos. In the Team Champion (Men), SAI, STC, Shillong won the prize. Shillong Dojo Karate-Do Association (SDKA) was the Runner-UP (Men). In the Team Champion (Women), All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association (AMKA) won the prize as Shillong Dojo Karate-Do Association (SDKA) finished as Runner-UP (Women). Davyson Kharkongor of SDKA won Best Karateka (Men Junior). Glikerius Buhphang of SDKA won the Best Karateka (Men Senior). Emika Deimaia Myrthong of SDKA won Best Karateka (Women Junior) as Phikerbha Kharbihkhiew of AMKA won Best Karateka (Women Senior).
