Police not aware of Tura girl assault case

SHILLONG/GUWAHATI: Police are not aware of any incident of assault of a girl hailing from Tura in Guwahati.
According to media reports, the girl, who was residing in a rented house in Guwahati, was allegedly assaulted by a group of people, including women on November 10.
As per reports, the girl, an engineering student, had alleged that one of the women chopped off her hair and stripped her while two others made videos.
DCP, East, Ranjan Bhuyan denied being aware of any such incident or complaint lodged at Dispur police station.
