Korean Ambassador to attend closing event at Polo

SHILLONG: The Ambassador of South Korea to India, Shin Bong-Kil will grace the closing function of India International Cherry Blossom Festival as chief guest on Saturday, the last day of the festival at Dalang Stage, Fifth Ground, Polo.
Forest and Environment Minister Lahkmen Rymbui will be present. The third day of the India International Cherry Blossom Festival on Friday drew huge crowd in the different venues spread across the city on Friday.
The day was marked with several competitions.
While Marc won the Cosplay competition, the people’s choice award went to Garry Syiemlieh, best performance award to Yuki Lamabam and best craftsman award to Daryll Warjri.
Judge’s choice and best make-up award was won by Seema Devi.
The LG Queen of the kitchen was won by Mafi Kharhunai.
In the photography competition the submissions were 352. Sameer Gurung won first prize in the professional category, Panborlang Toi won in the amateur category and Kanisha Nath was the youngest photographer in the competition.
The Mrs Shillong 2019 winner was Marjorie Noreen Dubai, the first runner up was Apoorva D Gunanka and the second runner up Dorilinia Malngiang.
