Skill development prog on vermicompost held

SHILLONG: A skill development programme on vermicompost was conducted in Laitkor Rngi, East Khasi Hills on Wednesday.
Around 34 farmers attended the programme which was organised by the Spices Board under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
The programme was inaugurated by the BDO of Mylliem Block, Peter Passah.
Officials from the Horticulture Department emphasised on the importance of vermicompost and the schemes provided by the department.
Meanwhile, practicals and assessment of candidates was conducted on the Friday.
