Guv opens travel exhibition

SHILLONG: The three-day winter travel exhibition “Travel and Tourism Bazaar” was inaugurated by Governor Tathagata Roy here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor lauded the organisers of the event as he added that Meghalaya is one of the most beautiful states in the country and there is no shortage of beautiful tourist spots here.
He added that it is the beauty of Meghalaya which attracts people from far and wide to visit the state.This year states like Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Goa and West Bengal will participate in the event.
Apart from panel discussions, musical programmes will also be organised.
The event will continue till November 23 at All Saint’s Hall.
