Nongpoh Police nabs habitual fraudster

NONGPOH: Armos Pasam, a habitual offender who cheated people by promising of giving them government jobs was again arrested from Nongpoh in Ri Bhoi on Thursday. Armos, hailing from Pathajuri of Karbi Anglong, Assam, was apprehended by the job seekers from Nongpoh area, who then later handed him over to the police at Nongpoh Police Station.
It may be mentioned that Armos Pasam, who is also a temporary resident of Nongthymmai Lawjynriew, Shillong, was previously arrested in 2016 by the Jowai Police for duping several people in the pretext of providing them government jobs in lieu of cash. The fraudster used fake and forged documents such as appointment letters and others to cheat job seekers. Later, a joint FIR was also filed against the fraudster by the six individuals seeking stringent legal action against him.
