DDMA to conduct disaster response exercise

WILLIAMNAGAR: The East Garo Hills District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) with Guwahati-based 1st Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), will conduct the familiarisation exercise and spread community awareness in the district for NGOs, CBOs, CBRWs, MRWs, NYKs, volunteers, ASHAS, Anganwadi workers, etc. from December 2 to 6.
The official circular issued in this regard by the deputy commissioner and the chairman of the DDMA informed that college mock drill for the teachers, students and staff of Loyola College, Williamnagar will be conducted on December 2.
On December 3, hospital mock drill will be conducted at Rongjeng CHC and search and rescue and first aid training will be conducted at DRDA Hall-I on December 4 and 5.
The search and rescue and mock drill will be conducted at Williamnagar Municipal Board on December 6, the circular said.
