Coffee comes with the potential of reducing the risk of developing a major cardiovascular issue which is known for affecting more than one billion people across the globe, says a recent study.
The study presented at FAPESP Week France highlighted that drinking 1-4 cups of coffee per day is associated with a reduced risk of MetS, regardless of one’s gender, in observational studies.
Specific conditions of MetS, namely type-2 diabetes and hypertension, are also inversely associated with coffee consumption. Associations with obesity are less clear. (ANI)
