SHILLONG: Alleging nepotism in government appointments, the Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) demanded that the state government should do away with personal interview for the post of group C and D and to allow written test only.
In a statement issued here, KHNAM stated that the state government through the Planning department has called for application for the post of driver and the personal interview was held on October 9.
It claimed that a youth received a phone call from the department on November 21 and was selected for the driving test on December 7.
However, after one week, he was informed that he was not selected for the personal interview.
The party stated that there may be attempts to take away his right of employment.
KHNAM added that it will dig deep into the appointment of driver posts.
