Mawkyrwat: One person from Langpa village in South West Khasi Hills District died on the spot after he fell into a gorge known as Riat Tarlang near Rilang River which falls under Langpa village.
Sources informed that the incident took placed on Sunday after the victim, identified as Comingstar Thongni (35) of Langpa, was on his way back from fishing with his friends.
Sources also informed that his body has been brought to Mawkyrwat CHC for postmortem and after completing it was handed over to the family members for last rites.
