No parking zone
In the interest of public safety and convenience, the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills has imposed the Netaji Square to Jail Road Boys Higher Secondary School as ‘No Parking Zone’ on both side of the road in view of the narrow and two-way road, with immediate effect from December 13.
Conference
State Bank of India Officer’s Association, Shillong Urban and Rural Regions will hold the first ever regional conference on December 12 at Shillong College from 10:30 am. It is expected that about 200 SBI officers from Khasi and Jaintia Hills will attend. Association leaders from the Central Committee of SBIOA NE Circle led by DK Roy Choudhury, circle president and Rupam Roy, circle general secretary will also attend. Vinay Kumar Bhalla, general secretary, SBIOA Jaipur circle will be the chief guest.
Residents Act meet
A meeting with NGO’s, representatives (MLA/MDC), the Hima/ Shnong, youths and elders on the delay of the Govenor to clear the Meghalaya Residents’ Safety and Security Act ordinance will be held on December 13 at 2pm at CD Hall, Mission Compound.
